Description

This O-ring is made from Viton (also called FKM). This is a special, high-performance rubber. Viton is excellent at handling heat, many chemicals, oils, and fuels. In a vacuum pump, these conditions are normal. A standard rubber O-ring would fail quickly. But a Viton O-ring stays flexible and seals effectively for a long time 

During regular pump maintenance, old O-rings should be replaced. Over time, they can become hard, flattened, or cracked. A damaged O-ring will cause leaks. This can lead to a loss of vacuum pressure or oil spills. Swapping it for this new, part restores a perfect seal. It’s a simple, low-cost fix that prevents bigger problems.
