This O-ring is a direct replacement. It fits right into the groove. Because it is small, you may want to use tweezers to place it carefully. No cutting or gluing is needed. Just place it in position and assemble the parts. This O-ring has an inside diameter of 5 mm and a thickness of 1.5 mm . That is used in several Pfeiffer pump models. It fits snugly in its groove. When you tighten the parts together, it compresses just enough to create a leak-proof seal.
