Description
This seal is made from Viton, a high-performance synthetic rubber. Viton is much tougher than standard rubber, especially in a vacuum pump environment. Inside the pump, it faces warm temperatures and constant contact with oil. Regular rubber can degrade, crack, or swell over time. Viton holds its shape and sealing ability much longer. This means better reliability and fewer replacements for you. This O-ring is a small, doughnut-shaped seal. It fits into a special groove between two parts of your pump. When you tighten the assembly, the O-ring compresses. This creates a flexible, airtight barrier. Its main job is simple but vital: it keeps the pump’s oil in and outside air out. A strong vacuum depends on these perfect seals.
