Description
Small parts like this O-ring do a big job in vacuum pumps.
It stops oil, air, and vapour from leaking where two metal surfaces meet. When the old one gets hard, cracked or flattened, your pump loses vacuum and may start making noise or using more oil.
This Viton O-ring is 85 mm across the inside and 3 mm thick. Viton (also called FKM) handles heat, chemicals and vacuum oil very well – better than regular rubber.
Replacing it is simple – clean the groove, slip the new ring in, and put everything back together. One small change can bring your pump back to full performance.
