This is a small metal snap ring.

It fits inside the drive coupling of your Leybold Trivac pump – the ones on S4A, S8A, D2A, D4A, D2AC, and D4AC.

The coupling connects the motor to the pump shaft. There’s a flexible rubber element and a retaining disc inside. This ring snaps into a groove and holds everything in place so nothing moves or falls out when the pump is spinning.

If the ring is missing or broken, the coupling starts to wobble, you get extra vibration and noise, and parts wear out quicker.

You only need one per pump. It shows up in every major repair kit (usually right next to the retaining disc part 23105107).

It’s cheap, fits exactly, and takes just a minute to install with circlip pliers. Most techs replace it every time they work on the drive side – simple way to keep the pump running smooth and quiet.
