Description

This is a lip seal. It’s a simple ring made from durable, flexible material. It creates a tight grip around the rotating shaft. Its main job is to stop the pump’s lubricating oil from leaking out along the shaft.

 First, it keeps your pump clean and your workspace free from messy oil stains. More importantly, it makes sure your pump doesn’t lose the oil it needs to run smoothly. Proper lubrication reduces wear on moving parts and helps your pump last longer.

This seal is different from a two-lip seal. It does not have an extra outer “dust lip.” It is designed specifically for your Leybold Trivac D2.5E or D1.2E pump model where a single-lip seal is required. Using the correct seal ensures a perfect fit and optimal performance.

If you’re doing maintenance and see oil leaking from the area where the shaft exits the pump, replacing this seal (Part #310048) is the solution.
