Description
A vacuum pump is a powerful machine. It needs a perfect seal to create strong vacuum pressure. The cylinder gasket is a key part of creating that seal.
Inside your Busch pump, there is a cylinder. This is where the main pumping action happens. The cylinder gasket is a soft, flat seal. It fits between the cylinder and the pump body.
When you tighten the parts together, the gasket compresses. It fills any tiny gaps between the metal surfaces. This creates an airtight and oil-tight seal.
Without a good gasket, air can leak in. This makes your pump work harder and less efficiently. Oil can also leak out, which can damage the pump.
