Description
A vacuum pump is made of many metal parts fitted together. Even the most precise parts have tiny gaps you cannot see. These gaps are big enough for air and oil to leak through.
It is a soft, yet strong, material cut into a specific shape. You place it between two parts before you bolt them together.
When you tighten the bolts, the gasket compresses. It fills every tiny gap perfectly. This creates a solid, airtight, and oil-tight seal.
