Description
This is a Vane Compression Spring. It is a small but mighty coil spring that sits behind each vane inside the pump.
It constantly pushes the vane outward, pressing it firmly against the inner wall of the pump chamber. This tight seal is what allows the pump to create a strong, steady vacuum. Without the right spring pressure, the vanes wouldn’t seal properly, and the pump would lose its power. Replacing these springs with ones (Part# 490025, also called L0249) during a pump service is key. It ensures your Leybold Trivac D5E, D10E, and D16E pump gets the right pressure for like-new performance.
