Description
This is a small, simple metal piece called the exhaust finger or valve stop plate.
It fits inside the exhaust valve on your Leybold Trivac pump – the D40B, S40B, D65B, S65B, D40BCS, and D65BCS models.
When the pump runs, gas pushes the valve open. This finger guides the valve and stops it from opening too far. Then it lets the valve snap shut fast. That keeps oil and gas from flowing back into the pump.
A D40 or S40 pump needs 4 of them. A D65 or S65 needs 7. They come in every major repair kit for these pumps.
It’s the exact replacement part, fits perfectly, and costs very little. Most techs put new ones in whenever they open the exhaust side for service – quick job that makes the pump run cleaner and quieter.
