This is the exact replacement – Leybold part 23925227. It fits the S4A, D2A, D4A, D2AC, and D4AC models perfectly. It’s a small, flat ring (often red in color) and goes in quickly during normal maintenance.
Most people replace it when they do a full service or major repair. You’ll find it included in nearly every gasket kit or major overhaul kit for these pumps.
It costs very little, but it makes a big difference. Put one in and your pump handles vapors better and stays cleaner longer. Keep a couple on the shelf – they’re handy to have when you need them.
