This O-ring is made from Viton. Viton is a special rubber that handles heat very well. It can work in temperatures from -20°C up to 200°C . It also resists oils, fuels, and chemicals much better than standard rubber. Viton also has very low gas permeability, which makes it perfect for vacuum applications .
This particular O-ring is used in pumps from two major brands. It fits Pfeiffer DUO 125 pumps . It also fits Leybold Ruvac pumps like the WS151, WS251, WSU151, and WSU251 models . You will often find this O-ring included in major seal kits for these pumps.
