Rietschle vacuum pumps are built tough, but they still need good seals to work right. This rectangular gasket, part number 520571.
It is a flat, red rectangular piece that sits right where the cylinder head meets the body. When you tighten the bolts, it squashes down just enough to block any leaks of oil or air.
The gasket is made for the VCA25 and VCE25 models. These are the smaller pumps you find in workshops, labs, and small factories. If your pump is starting to drip a little oil or the vacuum is not as strong, this is often the first thing to check.
