This part (Part# 310049) is specifically designed for Leybold Trivac D2.5E and D5E pump models. Replacing a worn shaft seal with this dual-lip version is a proactive step for pumps operating in typical workshop or industrial environments.

It has two important lips. The main inner lip faces the inside of the pump. Its job is to keep the lubricating oil securely contained, preventing leaks.

The secondary outer lip, called the “dust lip,” faces the outside environment. Its job is to act as a barrier. It keeps dust, dirt, and other small contaminants from getting into the pump along the shaft.
