This spider is made from a special orange T-PUR material. It has a hardness rating of 92 Shore A . This specific hardness is a great balance. It is tough enough to handle high torque, yet flexible enough to make up for small misalignments between the motor and pump shafts .
This spider is designed to handle serious work. It can handle a maximum torque of up to 820 Nm . It can also run at high speeds, up to 6,350 RPM depending on the hub material used .
When you are replacing a coupling, remember that you need the full set. The spider works together with two metal hubs (sold separately) . This part is a standard replacement item for many industrial vacuum pumps and other rotating equipment.
