Description
The exhaust valve in your Leybold Trivac pump lets air out during operation but stops it from rushing back in. The valve disc is the flat piece that actually presses against the seat and does the sealing.
When this disc gets worn, scratched, or bent, the pump starts losing vacuum, you hear more noise, or you might even see a bit of oil mist at the exhaust.
This valve disc is made to match the original Leybold part 40050140 exactly. It’s the same one you’ll find in most major repair kits for these pumps – usually just one disc per pump.
Replacing it is straightforward once the pump head is open. Just clean the valve seat, drop the new disc in place, and reassemble.
