Description
Inside a rotary vane pump the rotor spins and the vanes slide in and out of slots.
The first stage does most of the work when the chamber pressure is still high. These GX vanes are made from a tough composite material that lasts much longer than the old-style vanes. They handle heat and wear better, so the pump stays reliable for years.
After a lot of running hours the vanes start to wear. You notice the pump takes longer to reach vacuum, it gets noisier, or the ultimate pressure is not as good as before.
