Description
This is a small steel spring.
It sits inside the gas ballast valve on your Leybold Trivac pump.
The gas ballast valve lets in a little air when you pump wet vapors. That stops water or solvents from turning into liquid inside the pump and ruining the oil.
You normally replace this spring during a full service or when you install a major repair kit. Most kits include exactly one.
