This is a small steel spring.
It sits inside the gas ballast valve on your Leybold Trivac pump.
The gas ballast valve lets in a little air when you pump wet vapors. That stops water or solvents from turning into liquid inside the pump and ruining the oil.
You normally replace this spring during a full service or when you install a major repair kit. Most kits include exactly one.
It fits all these common models: • S30A, S60A, S90A • D30A, D60A, D90A • D30AC, D60AC, D90AC • D30C, D40C, D60C

The Trivac C series are two-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane pumps . They are widely used in laboratories, research facilities, and industrial applications. The D30C, D40C, and D60C models are the larger pumps in this series and use three-phase electric motors. The D30C has a pumping speed of 30 m³/h, the D40C has 40 m³/h, and the D60C has 60 m³/h.

Over time, parts in this system wear out. This kit gives you everything you need to rebuild it. It includes the valve plate assembly, cap, stiffening disk, springs, o-rings, washers, screws, and retaining rings . It replaces OEM part number 99710383 .
