An O-ring is a simple but crucial part. It sits in a groove between two surfaces. When compressed, it forms a tight seal that blocks air, oil, or other fluids from passing through.

In vacuum pumps, even a tiny leak can cause big problems. It can make the pump struggle to reach the right pressure, waste energy, and let contaminants in. This O-ring helps stop that.
