This Vane Spring (Part #490069) is a replacement part made for Pfeiffer DUO 120A and DUO 125 vacuum pumps . Unlike a regular spring, a vane spring has one specific job: it pushes the vane outward against the cylinder wall. This creates the seal needed to generate vacuum pressure. If you are rebuilding your pump, you will need eight of these springs for a full overhaul
