The Leybold Trivac D16B is a strong, reliable pump. It is a two-stage rotary vane pump . People use it in many places. Labs, coating systems, heat treatment, freeze drying, and many other industrial applications .

The TRIVAC B pumps are oil-sealed rotary vane pumps. The oil injected into the pump chamber is used for sealing, lubrication, and cooling . The D16B and D25B are dual-stage pumps. The number in the type designation (16) indicates the pumping speed in cubic meters per hour .

This pump is known for its durability. The drive motor is directly flanged to the pump at the coupling housing. The pump and motor shafts are directly connected by a flexible coupling. All controls, the oil-level glass, and the nameplate are arranged on the front .

The pump module consists of assembly parts which are pin-fitted. This allows easy disassembly and reassembly. The pump module can be easily removed without special tools .

But every pump gets tired. After thousands of hours, parts wear out. The pump may not reach its normal vacuum level. The oil gets dirty faster. You might notice small leaks.
