The Leybold Trivac D16A and D16AC are reliable, hard-working pumps. They are two-stage rotary vane pumps. People use them in labs, on coating systems, in heat treatment, in freeze drying, and in many other industrial applications .
These pumps are known for their durability. The Trivac B series (the newer version) is built with a shaft sleeve design. The A series is the original design. Both are excellent pumps .
The D16AC is the chemical version. It has more resistant seals and parts. It is made for pumping corrosive or aggressive media .
But every pump gets tired. After thousands of hours, parts wear out. The pump takes longer to pull vacuum. It runs hotter. The vacuum level just is not what it used to be.
