Bearing Locknut – N-09, Kinney KT300C/D, Part# 054098

This is the Bearing Locknut for Kinney Rotary Piston pumps, Part# 054098. It is also called an “N-09” locknut . It screws onto the shaft right next to the bearing. Its only job is to keep that bearing from sliding or spinning out of place

This locknut is made for these specific Kinney pump models:

• Kinney KT300C 

• Kinney KT300D 

  replace this locknut anytime you remove the bearing from the shaft. Never reuse an old locknut. The threads can get worn or stretched. A locknut that does not hold tight can let the bearing move. Look for these signs that you need a new locknut:

  • The nut feels loose when you tighten it

  • The threads look worn or damaged

  • You are replacing the shaft seal (experts recommend changing the locknut and bearing together when you do a shaft seal job)
