This is the Kinney Bearing Locknut N-10, Part# 054099. It is made specifically for the Kinney KT500C and KT500D rotary piston vacuum pumps . This locknut secures the bearing in place on the pump shaft. A tight locknut keeps your bearings from moving. That prevents damage to the shaft and the housing. This part is also included in Major Maintenance Kits for the KT500D .

This is the Bearing Locknut for Kinney Rotary Piston pumps, Part# 054099. It is also called an “N-10” locknut . It screws onto the shaft right next to the bearing. Its only job is to keep that bearing from sliding or spinning out of place. It is a small piece of hardware, but it is very important.
