Major Maintenance Kit, Kinney KT150C

The Kinney KT150C is a rugged, reliable machine. It is a single-stage, triplex rotary piston pump . “Triplex” means it has three pistons working together. This design makes the pump run very smoothly with almost no vibration .

These pumps are workhorses. You find them in:

• Vacuum packaging

• Vacuum furnaces

• Vacuum coating

• Other industrial jobs 

They can pull down to 10 microns. That is very low pressure. And they handle water vapor well because they come with an adjustable gas ballast valve .

A major kit is for a full pump overhaul. It would have included the parts you need to completely rebuild the pump. Based on the Preventive Maintenance Kit (which is still available), a major kit would likely contain:

• All the gaskets (water jacket, cylinder, valve cover, separator cover)

• All the O-rings in various sizes

• Bearings (ball bearings and sleeve bearings)

• Retaining rings

• Shaft seals

• Backup rings

• Discharge valve assemblies

• V-belts

• And all the small hardware like screws and lock pins
