Ring, Anti-Vibration, Radial, Part# 440037

This is a radial anti-vibration ring. Its part number is 440037. It is also called a radial vibration damper or a damping ring .

Think of it like a shock absorber for your pump. It is a ring made of a special elastomer material, similar to a very durable rubber . You place it around the bearing assembly inside your pump. Its job is to absorb shocks and vibrations that travel from side to side .

Vibrations can happen in two directions.

• Axial vibrations travel along the length of the shaft, back and forth.

• Radial vibrations travel from side to side, perpendicular to the shaft.

This ring is for radial vibrations. It stops the side-to-side motion. Pfeiffer also makes an Axial Anti-Vibration Ring (Part #440036) for back-and-forth vibrations. For complete protection, both rings are used together in the bearing assembly
