This is the 2nd Stage Vane (Part #230103) .
As the rotor spins, these vanes are pushed outward by springs and centrifugal force. They slide in and out of their slots, constantly maintaining perfect contact with the pump’s cylinder wall. This action traps a volume of gas and then compresses it, pushing it out of the exhaust. This is the fundamental process that creates and maintains your vacuum.
Without vanes in good condition, your pump simply cannot perform.
