Busch Major Repair Kit with GX Vanes – 1600B Part# BMK026

We put together every single part you need for a full rebuild. Here is what you get :

The Heart – GX Vanes (6 pieces)
These are the most important parts of your pump. The GX vanes are made from G11 fiberglass composite laminate . This material is very strong. It has high tensile strength. It does not soak up moisture. For standard industrial applications, GX vanes are a great choice .

Why six vanes?
The 1600B is a large two-stage pump. It has more vanes than smaller pumps. That is why this kit includes six GX vanes instead of three.

The Bearings

• Needle Bearings (2 pieces, part# 47300700) – these keep your pump spinning smoothly 

• Shaft Seal Sleeves (2 pieces, part# 47201300) – these protect the shaft where the seals ride 

The Seals – Shaft Seals (4 pieces total)
These stop oil from leaking out where the pump shaft comes out. This kit includes two different types :

• Viton shaft seals (2 pieces, 60 x 80 x 10/8 mm) – Viton handles high heat and chemicals very well 

• Buna shaft seals (2 pieces, 60 x 80 x 7/7.5 mm) – Buna is excellent for oil resistance 

The Gaskets (12+ pieces)
We include a full set of gaskets for the 1600B pump :

• Cylinder/exhaust box gasket (part# 48013200)

• Exhaust box cover gaskets (2 pieces, part# 48013100)

• Side cover plate gasket (part# 48013400)

• Valve housing/oil separator gasket (part# 48025400)

• Various ring gaskets (part# 48403400 – 4 pieces, 48406700, 48407000, 48202300, 48405700)

• Copper ring gaskets (part# 48402900 – 2 pieces, 48405600) – copper seals very well under pressure

The O-rings (25+ pieces in different materials)

Viton O-rings (high heat resistance) :

• 16 x 2.5 mm (2 pieces) 

Buna O-rings (good oil resistance) :

• 35 x 4 mm (16 pieces in other kits, but this kit includes various sizes including 55×3, 170×2.5, 210×6, 142×6, 310×5, 25×4, 22×3 mm) 

Silicone O-ring cord :

• 660 mm long silicone cord (part# 48206600-660MM) – you cut this to the exact length you need. Silicone handles high temperatures very well 

The Oil System Components

• Oil sight glass (part# 83623) and sight glass assembly (part# 500015PP) – lets you see oil level and condition 

• Oil sight glass gaskets (2 pieces, part# 48023100) – seal the sight glasses 

• Oil drain plug (part# 710000010) – nylon, 1/2 inch. Old plugs can crack and leak 

The Inlet Components

• Inlet ball valve (part# 73001800) – made of Viton, controls gas flow into the pump 

• Inlet screen (part# 53402400) – flat screen that keeps debris out of your pump 

The Hardware

• Threaded taper pins (4 pieces, part# 43708000) – hold the pump housing together securely 

Which pumps does this kit fit?

Please check your pump nameplate before buying. This major repair kit fits :

• Busch R5 1600B only

This kit does not fit the 1000B model. For the 1000B, you need a different kit.
