This round ends key is made specifically for one pump model:

• Pfeiffer DUO 125 

If you own this pump and are doing any repair work that involves the rotating assembly, you may need this key. You will also find this key included as a component in the Major Overhaul Kit (Part # PMK025) for the DUO 125 .

The job of this key is simple but very important.

• Connects rotating parts: It locks a shaft to a gear, pulley, or other rotating component .

• Transmits torque: Torque is the turning force that makes things spin. The key transfers this force from the shaft to the part, or from the part to the shaft .

• Prevents slipping: Without a key, the parts would spin independently. The shaft would turn, but the gear might stay still. That would ruin your pump.

• Provides alignment: The key also helps keep the parts perfectly aligned with each other.
