This is the original Leybold snap ring. It is a small but vital internal clip for your pump. It holds bearings and other rotating parts securely on their shafts. This prevents wear and keeps your pump running smoothly and quietly. Without a snap ring, critical parts can move. Even a tiny shift can cause misalignment. This leads to grinding noises, vibration, and loss of power. Over time, it will damage the shaft, the bearing, and other components. Replacing a worn pump is much more expensive than replacing this small, inexpensive ring.
