This vane kit uses carbon material. It is chosen for good reasons. Carbon vanes have strong thermal resistance. That means they handle the heat from friction without breaking down. They also have good self-lubricating properties. The vanes create a fine dust that actually helps the pump run smoothly .
For Becker VXLF series pumps, these carbon vanes are specially engineered for long life. The VXLF series uses self-lubricating graphite composite vanes that do not need oil. That makes them cleaner and easier to maintain
