Gasket, Case, Cork, DUO 120A-Pfeiffer, Part# 300206

This is a flat, sheet-like gasket made from cork. Its part number is 300206. You place it between the two main halves of the pump’s outer body, also called the “case” . Think of it like the rubber seal on a jar lid. Without it, the jar would not stay closed tightly. With it, everything stays sealed and secure.

This cork case gasket is made specifically for one pump model:

• Pfeiffer DUO 120A 

If you own this pump and are doing any repair work that requires opening the case, this is the correct gasket for the job. You will also find this part included in major overhaul kits and seal kits for the DUO 120A .

Gaskets are one-time-use parts. Once you remove them, they rarely seal well again. You should replace this cork gasket:

• During a major overhaul: Any time you open the pump case for repairs, put in a new gasket .

• If you see oil sweating: Notice oil seeping from the middle seam of the pump? The gasket has likely failed.

• If the pump loses vacuum: A leaky case gasket can be the hidden reason for poor performance.
