Vane, long – GX, Pfeiffer, DUO, Part# 230090

These are flat, rectangular pieces that slide in and out as the pump spins. They need to stay pressed against the cylinder wall to create a seal and generate vacuum pressure.

This is the Long GX Vane (Part #230090) .

Think of it like a piston in an engine, but instead of moving up and down, it slides in and out. As the rotor spins, the vane is pushed outward by springs and centrifugal force. It glides along the inside of the pump’s cylinder, trapping gas and pushing it out of the pump.

The DUO6 and DUO6M pumps use vanes that are longer than those found in many other DUO series pumps. This “long” or extended design is specifically engineered for these pump models . The extended length helps:

• Enhance performance for prolonged operation 

• Maintain better contact with the cylinder wall

• Provide more reliable sealing over time
