Vane – GX, Pfeiffer, DUO, DUO11, DUO11M, Part# 230091

This is the GX Vane (Part #230091) .

Think of it like a piston in an engine, but instead of moving up and down, it slides in and out. As the rotor spins, the vane is pushed outward by springs and centrifugal force. It glides along the inside of the pump’s cylinder, trapping gas and pushing it out of the pump.

GX is a high-strength composite material. It is a G11 fiberglass composite laminate made from continuous filament glass cloth with an epoxy resin binder . This material offers:

• High tensile strength: It is strong and resists breaking under stress .

• Low moisture absorption: It won’t swell or change shape in humid conditions .

• Thermal stability: It holds its shape even at higher temperatures.

This is the same type of material used by many major pump manufacturers such as Becker, Busch, Leybold, and Edwards . It works well in most standard applications.
