The Ballast Filter (Part # 25907202) is a replacement part for Edwards E1/E2M series rotary vane pumps. This small felt filter cleans the air that enters the pump through the gas ballast valve.

This is a felt filter element. You cannot wash it and reuse it forever. Over time, it gets clogged with dust. If it gets clogged, the gas ballast can’t work right. Or worse, if it tears, dirt gets into your pump.
Edwards recommends changing this filter every time you change the pump oil. It is a tiny, low-cost part.
Change it during every oil change.
Replace it if the old one looks brown or black.
Swap it out if you are rebuilding the pump.

Replace the worn shaft seal on your small Edwards pump with this Viton part. Part number 02109079 (also listed as SB0088) fits the E2M0.7, E2M1, and E2M1.5 models. This is a metal-cased Viton seal with dimensions of 16mm x 30mm x 7mm . It handles heat and chemicals better than standard rubber.
