This spring serves several important functions in large E1/E2M pumps. Based on the pump’s design, here is what it does:

• Oil flow control: The E1M175 and E2M175 pumps have an advanced pressurized oil circuit. This spring helps control the oil distributor valve. That valve makes sure oil reaches all the moving parts, even under high gas loads .

• Suck-back protection: When the pump shuts off, a spring-loaded valve prevents oil from being sucked backward into your vacuum system. This spring is part of that protection system .

• Relief valve operation: The spring helps control pressure relief valves inside the pump.

Without this spring, the oil system would not work correctly. Your pump would not get enough lubrication. That would cause serious damage.
