This is a replacement Belt Guard Assembly for Edwards belt-driven vacuum pumps. It cross-references to Edwards OEM number 606766001. The belt guard covers the drive belt and pulleys. It improves safety and protects the drive mechanism.

      The motor sits to the side. A rubber belt connects the motor to the pump. The motor spins the belt. The belt spins the pump.

      This works great. But there is one problem. A spinning belt and pulley can be dangerous. Fingers, hair, or loose clothing can get caught. The belt can also get dirty or damaged if left exposed.

      This is why you need a Belt Guard Assembly.
