This is an OEM replacement Fan Cowl Sub-Assembly for Edwards nXDS and XDS series dry scroll vacuum pumps . This assembly includes the fan cowl (the plastic housing) and the integrated 24 VDC cooling fan . It is a complete, ready-to-install unit.

      The nXDS and XDS series are air-cooled dry scroll pumps . They rely on a high-speed electric fan to pull cooling air through the pump . If that fan fails, the pump will quickly overheat. This triggers the internal thermal protection. The pump shuts down to prevent damage to the scrolls and bearings.
