      When you rebuild a booster pump, you always replace the soft parts (seals). However, the metal carrier can also wear out or get damaged during removal. You might need a new carrier if:

      • It is scored, pitted, or corroded.

      • The sealing surface is damaged.

      • It was damaged during the disassembly process.

      • You are upgrading to a newer seal type.
