This is a Edwards replacement outer shaft seal spacer for RV series rotary vane pumps . It is a small metal ring that fits between the outer shaft seal and the seal carrier. This spacer ensures the shaft seal sits in the correct position on the shaft . If you are replacing the outer shaft seal on your RV pump, this spacer must be installed to prevent leaks .
