This is the GX Vane (Part #230065) .

As the rotor spins, these vanes are pushed outward by centrifugal force and springs. They slide in and out of their slots, constantly maintaining perfect contact with the pump’s cylinder wall . This action traps a volume of gas and then compresses it, pushing it out of the exhaust. This is the fundamental process that creates and maintains your vacuum .

Without vanes in good condition, your pump simply cannot perform.

The DUO20 is a two-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane pump from Pfeiffer. It is a powerful and reliable workhorse, with a pumping speed of up to 19 m³/h (at 50 Hz) and an ultimate pressure down to 3 x 10⁻³ mbar . It is used across a wide range of demanding applications, including:

• As a backing pump for turbo-molecular pumps
