      Edwards uses Schnorr disc springs in critical locations inside their pumps. These locations include:

      • Bearing housing bolts: Bearings vibrate and see high loads. Bolts must stay tight.

      • End plate bolts: Where the pump body closes off.

      • Internal component mounting: Anywhere a bolt sees heat cycling or vibration.

      In the Edwards RV pump parts list, there are specific disc springs used as part of the high and low vacuum stages . You cannot substitute a generic hardware store lock washer.
