This is a replacement Dowty seal for your Edwards E1 and E2M vacuum pumps, part number 2104001. A Dowty seal, also known as a bonded seal, is a special washer that prevents oil leaks from pump fittings. It combines a metal washer and a rubber ring for a very strong, reliable seal. If you see oil around bolt heads or plugs on your pump, this part is likely the fix. If you own an Edwards E1 or E2M vacuum pump, you might eventually need this small but important part.
