This Filter Cartridge stops those particles before they enter your pump. It is a Becker part. It is made to fit perfectly and work right. This filter uses pleated paper media . The pleats give it more surface area. That means it catches more dirt without blocking airflow. Your pump gets clean air and good performance at the same time. This filter catches 99% of particles that are 2 microns or larger . That is very small. A human hair is about 70 microns wide. So this filter catches things you cannot even see.
