Think of it like a train on a track. The slide pin is the part that keeps the piston moving in the right path. When it works well, the piston seals tightly and creates strong suction.

When it gets worn down, the piston wobbles. It cannot seal properly. Your vacuum gets weak.

Why are there different slide pins?

Kinney pumps use different slide pins in different positions. Here is how they compare for the KT150C model:

• Small Outer Slide Pin (P803391) – This one goes on the outer side of the piston.

• Large Center Slide Pin (P803392) – This is the one you are looking at now. It goes in the center position .

If you are rebuilding your pump, check your manual. You might need to replace both pins.
