      This is a Edwards gas ballast valve, part number 11301045, made from PTFE. PTFE, also known as Teflon, is a special plastic that resists almost all chemicals. This valve is the part you open to let air into your pump when handling harsh vapors or solvents. The PTFE material means it will not be damaged by aggressive chemicals, unlike standard valves. It is a direct replacement for the original valve on many Edwards pumps.
