  What does it do?

  • It filters the oil: This is not a paper filter. It is a sintered bronze element. Sintered bronze is porous. It lets oil flow through it freely but traps solid particles, metal shavings, and sludge.

  • It protects the drive unit: The EH2600 and EH4200 use a unique hydrokinetic drive. If the oil in that drive gets contaminated, the pump loses torque and can overheat. This filter ensures the oil entering that drive is clean.
