      This is a complete valve unit that is fitted to the pump’s gas ballast system. Its main job is to allow a controlled amount of air (or an inert gas like nitrogen) into the pump . This serves two important purposes:

      • Prevents Condensation: It helps prevent condensable vapors (like water vapor) from building up inside the pump oil.

      • Safety: For ATEX-certified pumps used with flammable gases, a purge gas can be connected to the air bleed to ensure safe operation .
