The Edwards AIM Gauge is a highly accurate, compact cold cathode ionization gauge that measures high and ultra-high vacuum from 1 x 10⁻² down to 1 x 10⁻⁹ mbar . Because it operates using a Townsend discharge (a self-sustaining plasma), the internal body tube can become contaminated by process residues over time.
When this happens, you do not need to replace the expensive control electronics or the magnet housing. You simply need to replace the Body Tube Assembly.
